HUPAD planning comprises a range of integrated services that help shape the Harvard campus as the best possible environment for teaching, research, student life and community well-being. HUPAD staff works, in collaboration with Harvard’s academic faculties and other colleagues to:

  • Strengthen connectivity between Harvard’s individual schools and campuses.
  • Create inclusive spaces where people of every age and background feel welcome to pause, interact, and engage.
  • Identify shared opportunities for capital projects that tie the campus together.
  • Leverage resources to optimize transportation, technology, and land use.
  • Realize the vision and priorities of each school as well as of the whole Harvard community.
  • Promote resilience and flexibility to adapt to change including new technologies, a changing climate, and innovations in teaching and learning.

HUPAD staff offers a multidisciplinary skill set that combines capabilities for physical and programmatic planning with strong communication and graphic expertise. HUPAD works in close coordination with the Harvard Allston Land Company to advance planning and development of the Enterprise Research Campus in Allston.
